Joyeux Noel

This week I am showcasing the Snowy Woods plate from Artistic Outpost.
I created the background by applying Tarnished Brass Distress Stain and Vintage Photo Distress Ink to a non-stick craft sheet, spritzed with water and then mopped up the ink with my card and then dried with a heat tool. I then embossed the background with an embossing folder, applied Vintage Photo Distress ink over some of the raised areas, lightly brushing the inkpad over the raised areas. I also added touches of White Fire Wax to some of the areas to add a further touch of shimmer.
A die cut poinsettia cut from Glassine and spritzed with Biscotti Perfect Pearls Mist has been added to my card for added dimension and interest. I also crumpled the petals for added texture and to age a little too. I also die cut a small tag from white card, coloured with Vintage Photo Distress Ink and stamped with the Joyeux Noel sentiment.
I die cut an ornate frame from white card, coloured with Vintage Photo Distress Ink, adding touches of black soot to the edges for definition adding the wonderful focal image to the centre and spritzing with a touch of Biscotti Perfect Pearls Mist. I also used a water brush to bleach out his beard.
The background is so tactile and I love the touch of shimmer achieved from the wax and mist along with the Tarnished Brass Distress Stain in the background.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Tracy x x
