NATURE CANVAS

Sheena Douglass has more fabulous shows on Thursday on Create and Craft so time to showcase my first piece.
My first sample is a large canvas painted with black Gesso adding highlights of silver Gilding Wax around the edges of the canvas.
The backdrop is a piece of black card embossed with a Die'sire Embossalicious Argyle embossing folder and rubbed over with silver Gilding Wax. I added Pebeo Gel Mat which I mixed with black Gesso to the Poppy stamp and once dry peeled away and coloured with silver Gilding Wax; you do need patience for this process as it does need to dry overnight. I also added three pearls painted with black acrylic and highlighted with Gilding Wax along with POPPIES added to the top using the same process as with the poppy images.
I added a large wooden dragonfly, painted with black Gesso and again highlighted with silver Gilding Wax.
Metal flowers, keys and bolts have been added to the bottom corner for added interest and texture and once again coloured with silver Gilding Wax.

    Hi Tracy, Loving this canvas. The gilding wax gives it that extra special look. The "Poppy" stamp is beautiful. The dragonfly's and the other embellishments finish it off a treat. Will be looking out for this piece on C&C. Thanks for sharing. Crafty hugs Debbie R xx

    I could see this one on display on the shows today Tracey and thought it was metal. The gilding wax looks stunning on it and I love all your keys and those gorgeous metal flowers.
