Your Favourite

Simon Says Stamp and Show would like to see your FAVOURITE this week, be it your favourite technique, product, photo, idea, project type, you name it we would love to see it.

Halloween is a huge favourite for me, showcased in my spooky rust like coffin.
I have to say a huge THANK YOU to my fellow teamie Candy,  for sending me some fabulous Halloween goodies to play with, she knows me so well!  These wonderful gifts including the coffin inspired me to create this spooky piece. Halloween being a favourite for me, I like to make the most of every opportunity to indulge my passion for anything spooky. Using the On The Edge Ornate die gave a perfect trim for my coffin, but this time around using the negative cut out. I love the little spider cut using the Memory Box Dangling Spider die along with the fabulous dimension created from Melissa Frances Pearls. But does my coffin hide a TRICK or TREAT?
The skull on the top is actually plastic but using the fabulous rust paint technique from Andy Skinner you would never know. The Dangling Spider from Memory Box has been cut from white card and adhered with Multi Medium Matte, in fact all my pieces have been adhered with the Multi Medium. I always have such fun creating Halloween projects and my children love them.
I could not forget the sides of my coffin and added more of the Memory Box spiders around the entire edge along with plenty of Melissa Frances pearls, which look just like rivets once the paint effect is applied.
On the inside I have added a little more of the On The Edge Ornate die, standing the raven from the mini cat and raven die on the top, adding a little gem for his eye. I stamped TRICK OR TREAT from Tim's Halloween Cutouts stamp set onto white card with black archival ink, sponging with vintage photo ink, adding walnut stain around the edges.  For further interest I also included the spider from the Halloween Adornments, adding a little black paint dabber to the raised areas on its body.

For more great ideas please pop over to the Simon Says Stamp and Show blog and take a look at my fellow team members they have created some inspirational projects. Remember there is also the chance to win a $50 prize from Simon Says Stamp.  I always look forward to seeing your creations each week.

Thanks so much for stopping by and leaving a comment, much appreciated.  Enjoy your week. Tracy x x
