Wishing You All You Are Wishing For

My inspiration this morning came from the colours over at The Play Date Cafe, using the Generic Bird Diagram from 100 Proof Press.
I love these two colours together and decided to make a tag using Distress Inks spiced marmalade and worn lipstick.
I stamped my Generic Bird Diagram first and then embossed with the honeycomb texture fade blending Distress Inks over the embossed areas.
I stamped my bird three times adding a little dimension to the body. I also added two panels of the embossed honeycomb to the top and bottom of my tag, attaching coordinated ribbon to the top panel.
I cut a heart using the mini hearts set die, stamped the bird's head onto the heart and coloured with worn lipstick ink.  I then stamped the bird's head once more for a little more dimension and coloured with spiced marmalade ink. Hand stitched buttons have been added for a little more interest.
I added a dimensional flower, sponging the edges with spiced marmalade ink and adding the sentiment from Tim's Words For Thought set.

Thanks for stopping by, I'm off to get a little more inky. Tracy x x

  1. Love your tag, Tracy. It's funny, you are always taught that you can't use pink and orange together, but I think it looks great! Have a good weekend.

Yes I have two red headed children. Catriona hated her hair for many years as a teenager and dyed it black!! But thankfully she has seen the light!! That was my first thought when I first saw a photo of you, very similar hair colour!!

  17. The honeycomb background greats a beautiful effect.
As for the colours choice - well as a redhead who adores pink I think the two compliment each other beautifully!!!
