BOTTLE IT!

Time for our weekly challenge with Simon Says Stamp and Show and this week we challenge you to BOTTLE IT!

my vintage bottle began with a technique from Wendy Vecchi using Glue N' Seal and Clear Rock Candy adding into the mix plenty of butterscotch Alcohol Ink. No bottle is complete without flowers and here they come in the form of Tattered Florals cut from vintage paper and coloured with Distress Ink wild honey. A little more interest has been added with Idea-Ology Foliage and Ornate Plate.

My bottle came from an antique shop, something I love to do on a regular basis, hunt out items to recycle in my creations.  Once I applied the Glue N' Seal and then the Clear Rock Candy I applied a generous coating of butterscotch ink, my finges were not pretty once I had finished this process but well worth the pain in my view.
Once my bottle was completely dry I added some Hemp Cord to the neck of my bottle and a little Idea-ology Foliage for added interest.
I cut my Tattered Florals from an old book, approximately 9 layers for each flower, adhering each layer one on top of the other.  Once my flower was dry I scrunched each layer up to form my dimensional bloom. To complement my bottle I coloured the edges of my blooms with Distress Ink wild honey.
One of my flowers has a button added to the centre for a little more interest. I also added an Ornate Plate with WISH sentiment from Wendy's Just Word Art set.
Please pop over to the Simon Says Stamp and Show blog and take a look at my fellow team members they have created some inspirational projects and remember there is also the chance to win a $50 prize from Simon Says Stamp.  I always look forward to seeing your creations each week.

Thanks so much for stopping by and leaving a comment, much appreciated.  Enjoy your week. Tracy x x

  2. Your bottle is absolutely gorgeous, Tracy. The text paper blooms are just perfect to sit in the bottle. Was it butterscotch alcohol ink you used? You have inspired me to have a go with a bottle I have had sitting in my room for about two years!!
