Celebrating The Wendy Vecchi Style.................

For Simon Says Stamp and Show this week, and as I am beginning to think about Christmas now that we are into October this weeks piece reflects that with the use of Wendy Vecchi's Art Of Making It Merry set of stamps to decorate the Art Parts Artful Shrine. The shrine was coloured with Distress Ink Fired Brick, stamped with the text background from Wendy's set and the inside decorated using a piece of the Kraft Resist Christmas Paper Stash. The leaves are from Wendy Vecchi's Funky Flower Art set, coloured with Distress Ink Peeled Paint. Embellishments include a Christmas Muse Token and JOY added to Memo Pins adhering with Glossy Accents.

The Christmas tree was stamped onto white card four times and cut out.  I then added the background text stamp from the Art Of Making It Merry set onto each tree using black Archival Ink. The trees have been coloured with Distress Ink peeled paint and then each tree was adhered one on top of each other to give dimension to my piece.
I coloured a piece of white card with Distress Ink fired brick and then stamped the poinsettia four times with black Archival Ink, cut out and layered my pieces together. Distress Clear Rock Candy has been added to each piece. Once dry I added a co-ordinating brad from my stash to the centre.
To complete I added a heart shaped button threaded with Bakers Twine to the bottom of my shrine along with the sentiment "Make It Merry" from Wendy's set.  I really enjoyed creating this piece and it is one less Christmas card to create for family, RESULT!

Pop over to the Simon Says Stamp and Show blog and take a look at my fellow team members they have created some inspirational projects and remember there is also the chance to win a $50 prize from Simon Says Stamp.  I always look forward to seeing your creations each week.

Thanks so much for stopping by and leaving a comment, much appreciated.  Enjoy your week. Tracy x x

  18. Awesome job on the Wendy piece this week Tracy! The colors you chose are just wonderful and I really love the way you made your tree 3-D. I never would have thought to do that and it is so effective and I especially like the way you stamped it with a text stamp. The poinsettia is really wonderful too. Now you've got me thinking that I need that set too :)

    Have a wonderful week.

    Hugs,
