WOYWW & Autumn Colour

Morning all, well what's on my workdesk this morning, nothing I can hear you all saying as I never have anything on there cause I'm too tidy LOL.  Nooooo, your wrong I have..................

a Pumpkin which I have grown myself, in fact I have 8 of them and I'm so pleased with them.  Alongside the pumpkin is a trick or treat bag I made out of felt and on the far right is a second trick or treat bag, both of which are for challenges and will be posted after WOYWW.  If you are still one of the very few who are not aware of What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday then click HERE and you will be transported to Julia's place where you will find all the details and many more desks to nose around.

I thought I would also take this opportunity to show you some late colour in my garden,  I have been gardening for the last couple of days and appreciating any colour we have at the moment and it's quite surprising how much there is, so without further ado, below are some picture just for you to appreciate.
 A pure white Anemone.
A Rudbeckia.
And a Foxglove.  Nature is a wonderful thing.   Have a wonderful Wednesday everyone.  Tracy x x

  3. I have a pumpkin I BOUGHT two weeks ago sitting on my pantry shelf and was thinking about how to carve it. Glad to see someone else is thinking of doing it, too. I like those treat bags. Very clever. Now I must bring my pumpkin to the kitchen table and carve away! Thanks for the inspiration. Happy WOYWW (no. 12).

  21. Yes Mother Nature is quite wonderful! Love the pumpkin, hope it's an edible one, I love roasted pumpkin soup, yummy! Chop up your pumpkin, roast in the oven with garlic and fresh sage and a bit of olive oil. Them puree everything together with some vegetable or chicken stock and season to taste. Love the Halloween projects and the late flowers too, I should take a photo of my Aster, it's in almost full flower and is close to 4ft across!

  23. Congrsts on the pumpkin, 8 of them - very impressive. I love roasted pumpkin and soup so I wouldn't be carving and being arty I'm afraid!! Flowers are gorgeous, we're enjoying roses and a super perennial everlasting sunflower whihc is bright yellow. You're right, nature is amazing.

  26. Wow Tracey - you have not only inky fingers - but green ones too!!! Well done on the pumpkin!! I know they're pretty fool proof to grow (taking nothing away from this beauty), but its the right fertilizer and room to grow that are the key points... i'd love to grow pumpkins... do you plan to eat any of it - or are they purely for hollowing out for decoration? And the treat bags are fun and fab... i'd better make something even though my boys no longer go round anywhere... hmm - quite a challenge!

    well done,
