Christmas GRUNGE

Morning all, I have created another Christmas piece for today's posting, the idea being that if I try and produce all my Christmas cards over the next two months I can have December free to do whatever I want...... well that's the plan, we will see if it comes to fruition.
I am entering this piece for The Compendium of Curiosities Challenge with Linda, who has set the challenge this week of Alcohol Ink Agate on Grunge.  I can't believe it is week 15 of the challenge already but I am loving this challenge, THANKS Linda.  If you would like to join Linda and the rest of us then click HERE and you will be transported over to Linda's place for all the details.  I would also like to enter this for the Simon Says Stamp and Show challenge where the theme is SHOW YOUR GRUNGE.
I have drawn around a book page onto Grungepaper for the base piece and then applied the Alcohol Ink Agate technique to this piece shown on page 53 of the book.  The Alcohol Ink colours are Stonewashed, Sail Boat Blue, Cloudy Blue and Pearl mixative.   My snowman has been stamped with StazOn timber brown and I have added twigs for his hands and buttons to his body.  I have used the new Tim Holtz Rosette once again as I am loving using this and its so effective, and I have added white paint dabber to the top edges to add to that frosty feel.  Adding lots of snowflakes to the bottom and the addition of Christmas sentiments completes my piece.  Think this will be for my son Ryan, cross fingers he likes it.  Have a great Wednesday everyone, see you in Blogland, Tracy x x

  2. It is great, Tracy....blue is a good colour for Christmas, feels crisp and frosty!

I am so glad I don't do Christmas cards, well only six, maybe, it means I have more time for other projects.
(I am not being mean....I just can't cope with that time of year any more.)

But, I shall enjoy keeping an eye on your Christmas cards as you make them. I hope you will show them!!

    Three ponds....wow.. you are lucky.

We don't have room for another pond, there are far too many mauture trees, so not enough light and too many leaves...the trees are beautiful though!!
    Have a great day

  17. I'm completely in love with this gorgeous card, Tracey! It's just WAY beyond beautiful-- the colors are the perfect shades of wintery blue, and your AI Agate background hints of a snowy twilight!

You embellished this so nicely, too, and that rosette really does work wonderfully here. I love how you "frosted" it with white paint-- so clever! The snowman stamp is darling!!!

I bet Ryan will love this!
