Today I am showcasing the fabulous Paperboy stamp set from Artistic Outpost, available from Our Daily Bread Designs.
I went for a vintage feel and tones to this weeks piece and I am really pleased with how this one turned out.
I began by applying a layer of Gesso randomly to the background using a palette knife and then allowing to dry.
Once the Gesso was completely dry I then added some torn text from an old Alice in Wonderland book, adding random machine stitching to the top for added texture.
I then took the lid off my Gathered Twigs Distress Spray Stain and flicked some of the ink onto the background to add further to the aged feel.
The Paperboy was stamped with Black Archival Ink and then coloured lightly with pencils. To showcase the focal image further I added a circle of paint using a lid from an old container.
Thanks so much for stopping by. Tracy x x
Beautiful Tracy. This is one of my favourite quotes and I love that you let it stand as one of the focal points. Great background, very effective against the kraft. hugs :)
