Morning everyone, it's another WOYWW, wow time flies when your having fun, or so they say. If you are reading this and don't have a clue, pop over to our chief, Julia (who at the moment seems to have a hanker for notebooks) at the Stamping Ground and check out all the details. If you are reading this Julia I have a hanker for all things HEARTS, be it jewellery, boxes, trinkets, stamps, clothes, so you are not alone and there is no medication for us either LOL. Oh I love storage too, but then again there are many things I hanker for but HEARTS, STORAGE, and all things GARDEN related are the things I hanker for the most. Anyway I digress, you are here to see my desk not listen to my waffle so here goes.....
.....neat freak is still here, and as always I have tidied after all of my craft sessions, sorry I just can't help myself and it's the only way I can work and I like to work in an organised manner. Don't get me wrong I do make a little mess but I tidy as I go along, sorry! Today we have a copy of the Making Cards magazine on my craft desk, which arrived yesterday as I have some artwork in there, and after all this time I'm still chuffed when any of my work is published. At the top of my desk I have a challenge card which some of you will have already seen and there are a couple of stamps left out to remind me to use them for my next piece of art. Then to the right we have a few scraps from a previous piece of work which I can't bear to throw away and will use on another piece soon hopefully.
To the right I have a basket which is now full of new goodies that I have not used yet. I don't like to put my new stash away until I have used it at least once, just makes me feel better. Problem is the pile is getting higher by the week, perhaps I need to work a bit harder and produce more cards LOL.
Further to the right are my Tim Holtz Alterations dies, my printer which has paperwork on the top which requires some action but I would rather make a card, you know how it is.
Back to the left are my paper cupboards, all that paper and I never have the colour I want, how ridiculous is that and I still need more space for more papers but my room can't take anymore cupboards, I need a bigger room LOL.
On top of my paper cupboard is a whole load of more stash. A carousel for all my embellishments which I forget to use every time I make something. However, I am now trying to be more organised, yes more I hear you say, well yes, and now I have purchased a notebook (note Julia a notebook LOL) to write down all my actions, which seem to be getting longer by the day. The idea being that I will not forget anything and in there is an on-going action to use those damn embellishments stashed on that carousel. We will just have to see if it works but at least I'm trying.
My plant of the week this week is a BEGONIA from my garden, I don't usually like begonia's but this is the only one exception. There is only one plant in that basket and I'm so pleased with the results. My other good news this week is that I have been asked by Hels and Jennie to be a Guest Designer on their new Artistic Stamper Creative Team Blog, I am so excited, one for the challenge and two to use some great new stamps. You should pop over there and take a look at some fantastic artwork and great giveaways. Well that's all from me folks this week so the only thing left to say is a big THANK YOU for all your lovely comments and to wish you all a happy Wednesday, Tracy x
Love your room - all those drawers! and your paper cupboard is a gorgeous idea, how I would love to be as organised as you. (although I am messy, I kind of know where things are though, which is something..) Congrats on being published.
ReplyDeleteReally love all your Ikea drawers and your begonia is really gorgeous.

ReplyDeleteI love units you keep your papper in you are so lucky to have them.
Thanks for sharing
Wow it is so nice, organised and tidy, love all your storage and your 'ART' lettering, lovely craft place :-)
ReplyDeleteI think you need to put the embellishments in your line of vision for a couple of weeks, you'lluse them up a bit more then, if only because they clutter up our desk! Love the idea of an action notebook! As for the basket that's overflowing with new stuff...look at it from two ways round...buy a bigger basket, or stop buying new stash!!!
ReplyDeleteyour storage is wonderful and I would love to have a neat space where i can find what i need. the paper cupboard is amazing!
ReplyDeleteLovely room and tidy desk there! Congratulations on the published article and the design team - you must be thrilled. I too have a pile of new unused stash piling up and also enough paper and cardstock to go around the globe twice but still never have the right colour! - so you are not the only one!

ReplyDeleteCongrats on being published. It's always a great feeling when that happens regardless of how many times you've been in print.
You are always so tidy - I love that - I wish I was - well sometimes I manage to tidy straight after I make the mess but not always! I liked card - I saw it on the challenge blog I am participating too! He, he I must laugh - with all the paper we have we can never ever find the one we want! How weird is that? Lovely begonia! Use those embellies!!!!! Ha, ha
ReplyDeleteLots of hugs,
Cardarian

ReplyDeleteLove how organised you are - and think that's a great idea to leave your new stuff out until you've used it - I'm forever coming across things that I bought, put away, and forgot about! x
ReplyDeleteMorning Tracy, love your plant of the week, what an unusual Begonia, very pretty!
ReplyDeleteGreat desk, not a bit of mess insight! I love being tidy, but like you, I can never find the right colour card/paper that I need right this second, lol!
Have a super day, hugs Heidi xx

ReplyDeleteA lovely long post,a pleasure to read. You have a smashing crafting area and its all clean, tidy and organised.
ReplyDeleteTracey
Really enjoyed my snoop round your lovely workspace. I need lessons on organising my stash - must try harder! Glad to hear I am not the only person who just plain forgets to use embellishments....but then again, I wonder if it's pschological - my brain really wants to keep and stroke them, so it blocks any thoughts of using them up!
ReplyDeletelovely craft space thank you for my visit Liz ;o)
ReplyDeleteAs always, I feel so right at home here. I could definitely make art in your space. We neat freaks need to stick together and save the world (grin).

ReplyDeleteDon't apologise for being tidy Tracey - it's the way we're made, I just wish I was a little tidier. Love your workspace and little drawers. The begonia looks lovely
ReplyDeleteAnne x
Very very guilty of hiding new things and not actually using them - I'm gonna try the leaving in line of sight trick but I'm sure it wont take long to disappear under a pile of ...something!
ReplyDeleteHey! I usually don't care for begonias either, (because they remind me of succulents, which I loathe), but when I saw the picture you've put up of yours, I sure did dig it.
ReplyDeleteAmy
Your post really made my laugh today! Yes more organisation and yes another BIGGER room are the dreams of us all. Really want to know how you're going on with your notebook fillings :) And congrats on getting published and being asked on a DT! And you really have got to start moving or you won't be able to put any more stash in that basket LOL

ReplyDeleteGolly! Oh to be so organised. I love your storage, the carousel, the paper store and everything in your workspace. I am a very tidy person trapped inside a messy one.
ReplyDeleteIf I tidy up then I can't find anything.
It would be good to have more space. A whole house would be about the right size for a workspace.
