Fungus

This card has a real delicate feel, just what I was trying to achieve for my Toadstool image.  I was absolutely delighted with the way this stamp turned out, I adore the detail and background elements. My card showcases my new Border Stamp "Fungus" #275 from AALLandCreate. Our stockists can be found HERE.

For my background this time around I lightly brayered Honey Dew and Byzantium Fresco Finish Paints across my background, using only a light touch to add the paint layers.

I adore the subtle background stamping using Wilted Violet Distress Oxide Inks and my A7 Background Stamp "Heartfelt" #304, I adore this stamp, its so versatile.

I also incorporated a small tag, with the wording Art added, adding a touch of shading to the outside edges so that it coordinates with the background in my card.

The sentiment and art text are from my A5 stamp set "Thankful Petals" #272.

Owl

I love using my Gel Press at the moment to create backgrounds, I love the unexpected backgrounds you can achieve. This piece showcases my A7 Stamp Set  "Owl" #306 from my new collection, from AALLandCreate. Our stockists can be found HERE.

This background was a second generation print from my Gel Press and I love it, I love the random touches of colour.

I also made my own tape from cellotape which is a quirky little touch to my card along with some chicken wire from the garden for added texture.

I also incorporated some book pages for added interest along with some delicate splatters of black paint using a Posca Paint Pen.

I also added dimension to each owl, stamping them twice.

Limited Edition

I love using green and grey together, another favourite combination for me. This piece showcases my A4 Stamp Set  "Nature Elements" #267 from my new collection, from AALLandCreate. Our stockists can be found HERE.

I began by layering Lime and Elephant Acrylic Paint from Dina Wakley onto my white card, blending the colours with my brayer. I love this mix of colours. I then placed the Totally Dotty Stencil onto my painted backdrop and then wiped over the open areas on the stencil.

I added a touch of shading to some of my circles in the background using a grey Inktense Pencil and activated the pencil markings with my waterbrush.

I also added some strips of card, brayered with Elephant Acrylic Paint and adding some delicate background stamping using my "Heartfelt" A7 Background Stamp #304, I love this stamp.

I also incorporated some cheesecloth and soft wire for added texture. Touches of background stamping were also included stamping in black, but using the second generation stamping.

Metal embellishments and chicken wire also add further texture.

Create With Passion

I love the brightness of this piece, the colours are so uplifting and work beautifully with this open flower. I also adore using embroidery hoops in my artwork too. This piece showcases my A5 Stamp Set  "Thankful Petals" #272 from my new collection, from AALLandCreate. Our stockists can be found HERE.

I drew around my embroidery hoop onto a piece of white card and then used this as my piece for decorating. My background is created with Distress Oxide Inks mopped up from my non-stick craft sheet.

I used the Totally Dotty to add shaded circles to my background, adding layers of colour for depth and dimension.

I also added touches of background stamping using my newly released A7 Stamp "Heartfelt" #304, I stamped with Oxide Inks to give a tone on tone effect and also with black stamping to give a contrast.

I also added a hinge clip and chicken wire for added texture and dimension.

I adore the natural touch of the embroidery hoop against the vibrancy of the colour. I added dimension to my flower by adding three layers and incorporated further texture with cotton thread.

Passion Flower

I loved creating this card, I think it's the background that I find so pleasing combined with my Passion Flower. This stamp was a suggestion from Jo Rice, she asked me if I could design a stamp and this is what I came up with, trying to stay true to my quirky style. This is a Border Stamp "Passion Flower" #278 from my new collection, from AALLandCreate. Our stockists can be found HERE.

It has been such a busy time here at the moment and I am hoping to maybe take a few days off next week just to gather my thoughts and think of more designs. Hope you are all well.

I love how my background is muted and doesn't have any straight lines, I find it really appealing. Again this was created on my Gel Press, combined with Alcohol Inks.

I also made some of my own tape, again using the Gel Press and added a small piece to my card, which you can see here on the bottom right against the Hinge Clip.

I also incorporated the Totally Dotty Stencil to give another layer to my design.

I added a touch of dimension to my flowers and leaves, cutting out a further layer and adding on top. I adore these flowers.

The sentiment is from the same Border Stamp. I also added some delicate splatters of white paint to brighten the design further.

Hoot Hoot

Today I am showcasing a card using my A7 Stamp "Hoot Hoot" #305, from AALLandCreate. Our stockists can be found HERE.

I am really enjoying creating with these Owl's, I love the quirky feel to them.

I created the backdrop using a circular Gel Press, I am really enjoying the process of creating backgrounds at the moment. The paint layers were combined with the Wood Pile Stencil, which seemed the perfect fit for the owl image.

The Gel Press print is the second generation print from my press and I have to say I am in love with these backgrounds.

I also incorporated some doodling around the outside edge of the circle to draw the eye into the focal imagery.

I also peeled the skin from my paint and added that to my piece, I thought it gave a quirky edge to my design along with some added texture.

I added some delicate background stamping using my A7 background stamp "Heartfelt" #304, this background is a favourite at the moment and I can't stop using it.

Pen Nib Plaque

Today I am showcasing a mixed media board using my newly released Border Stamp "Knibs and Mushrooms" #276, from AALLandCreate. Our stockists can be found HERE.

I created this mixed media board during a recent Facebook Live, the video is below should you wish to rewatch it. The process is towards the end of the video.

This video also showcases my latest release with AALLandCreate.

I have a few close up shots for you so you can see the detail. The Vintage Beeswax works beautifully for adding dimension, texture and added detail to this piece.

I also incorporated a couple of Tim Holtz Stencil Clips for further interest.

A touch of Calico stamped with 'art' from my A6 Stamp Set 'Happiness and Nature" #281 adds a further touch of texture to the design.

I also incorporated some background stamping using my A7 Stamp Set "Overlapping Texture" #307. I love these background stamps, they  never leave my desk.

The embroidry hoop acts like a dimensional spotlight, which I love.
