Adding my trademark texture and dimension was key in this dimensional canvas.
I found this piece really therapeutic, cutting out all those metal flowers using the Tattered Florals die from Metal Foil. There is nothing I find more fun than creating when there are no time constraints and this was one of those pieces that I enjoyed from start to finish. I love the face image from the Stampers Anonymous Classics 5 set, there is something about her stare. I have given her a numbered backdrop using Memory Box Large Classic Number Set painted with PaperArtsy Fresco Finish Paint in Mermaid and Beach Hut.
I began this canvas by cutting out numbers from watercolour card using the Memory Box Large Classic Number die and adhering to my canvas. I then painted the canvas with Mermaid Fresco Finish Paint applying with Cut 'n' Dry foam; once dry I then dry brushed Beach Hut to highlight all the raised areas and to give another layer of interest. I then added a further layer of interest applying Beach Hut paint through the Mini Tile Texture template/stencil and added further numbers applying Chocolate Pudding through the Mini Letter Chaos stencil. I stamped the face image onto tissue and then added to my canvas using Claudine Hellmuth Studio Multi-Medium Matte.
I stamped the eye image onto a piece of Tim Holtz Viintage Shabby paper stash colouring with broken china Distress Ink and then adhering to the canvas. I found the fabulous text on-line which I printed and then coloured with broken china ink.
I added lots and lots of small Tattered Floral flowers to frame the face, cut from Metal Foil tape, embossing each flower using the Riveted Metal Texture Fade and colouring each flower with ginger Alcohol Ink; sanding a little with wire wool. I added a little warmth to her face colouring her lips with fired brick Distress Marker.
I cut a number 9 from watercolour card, coloured with black soot Distress Ink and painted with Clear Rock Candy, giving yet a further layer of interest. I stamped a couple more eyes onto the Vintage Shabby paper stash cutting out each eye using the Spellbinders Standard Circles Die and colouring with broken china ink.

Tracy, I have been intrigued with this beautiful piece since I saw it on our DT blog. Love the color! Love the stamps you have used. Love the numbers in the background. Love the metal flowers. They really pop against the background. What a very cool way to use this theme...with the numbers done the way you've done them in the background. Very creative and definitely not a run of the mill piece! As always, your quality work comes through! Love it! <3 Candy
Beautiful! She is gorgeous with her metal locks!!! How did you get her face to face this way??? Love the number collage background...all most excellent Tracy!
A divine canvas Tracy, the colours are gorgeous and I love the textured effects you have created. Stamped tissue paper always works so well and the face is very clear and of course her beautiful tresses of metal flowers is inspired.
Have a great week.
