Anything goes at Simon Says Stamp and Show this week, which I love as it gives me free rein to do absolutely anything I want, well within reason of course. Following a clear out of my craft room recently, I decided that I will use all the alterable items I have before I purchase anything more and so far so good!
An old frame was due a little transformation, painted with Little Black Dress Fresco Finish acrylic paint, a little Crackle Glaze and a top coat of Snowflake. A fabulous dimensional heart cut from corrugated card using the Heart Wings die adds the WOW factor.
The background to my frame is paper from 7 Gypsies Paddington range which adds a little more interest to my monochromatic piece. I cut 6 hearts from corrugated card and adhered together with Multi Medium Matt and once dry I painted with the Fresco Finish Paints to coordinate with my frame.
From this angle you can see the fabulous dimension the corrugated card gives. My wings were also cut from corrugated card and painted with a black Paint Dabber.
For a little more interest and dimension I added an Idea-ology Keyhole which I painted with a little black paint dabber so it appeared less shiny.
I cut two small hearts from Metal Foil Tape and embossed with the Birds and Swirls Cuttlebug embossing folder, again adding a little black paint dabber to tone the silver down a little.
For more great ideas please pop over to the Simon Says Stamp and Show blog and take a look at my fellow team members they have created some inspirational projects. Remember there is also the chance to win a $50 prize from Simon Says Stamp. I always look forward to seeing your creations each week.
Thanks so much for stopping by and leaving a comment, much appreciated. Enjoy your week. Tracy x x

Tracy, I really love your crackled frame! Love the colors and I will have to try that Crackle Glaze on something like this! Your background paper is awesome...perfect with the black and white crackle glazing of the frame. I also love all of the embellishments you've done on the frame. Bravo for you to make the decision to try to use up your alterable stuff! You've inspired me to do the same! <3 Candy
I'm totally loving that heart, Tracy!
The crackle paint and the heart are favourites. Corrugated card is such an under-rated free product to play with.
